Hey, this was my second Marine Corps Ball.  We knew everything now.  Oh yeah, did I mention the hotel was under construction.  So, we rented army tents.  Yes we helped put them up right along with the elephants.  It rained of course.  We had to march in from outside and it was muddy.  We had a great time.  At midnight it became my birthday and everyone bought me a drink after the Gunny made the announcement.(the drinks were free)  A great time was had by most.
